Falls and family

Sunday night we flew in to iguazu.(thank you Mary y juanchi for the stay, the drive, the car we painted with mud, the wirtz family who invaded, and for letting us having a night out the two of us!)
After a very turbulented flight, We had an easy drive to our hotel where our over tired kids decided to introduce themselves screaming and crying over their plate of pasta. Hello Jasy hotel, we are here for four nights!  We quickly set up the deryan pop up tents for the boys and Amélie was made comfy in no more than 3 beds!
We woke up to the smiling faces and embraces of the three cousins, kids of Pierre's sister. For the full week we have spent together Amélie and Stan would not leave  each other's side anymore! Even for the time of a shower they would complain the separation was too long... Taring both families apart at passport control to go to the Brazilian side of the falls was the hardest part of the day, Amélie taking a quick shower was taking too long and when asked for the highlight of his day (you know when you travel the globe to see waterfalls and jungle) Stan answered 'seeing Amélie again' after the forced separation of 15min to go to the shop...
So useless to insist we had great family quality time seeing the six blonds walking and talking and playing! We visited the Brazilian side of the falls, which Pierre and I hadn't visited yet when living here. It gives you a great panorama and view of the hugeness of the falls. Weather was not so great which made for perfect weather to visit with kids: few people, no queuing, no hiding from the sun.
On the second day rain was everywhere so we stayed around the hotel, Pierre tried to force a jungle trip with a 4x4 but it was a no go. We then visited the sanctuary for ill animals. Not a huge success but OK to be out of the hotel.
On our third day we went to the Argentinian side of the falls. The train was a big success , kids walked the lower trail like heroes, then we got soaked wet for visiting the garganta del diablo. You know when you hesitate to venture out, should we wait half an hour? Decide not to, and of course the sun comes out when you finish the tour, wet till the underpants and without change. I think we learned we should have put some impermeable spray on the jackets before traveling.
On thursday, as real sunsnacks wirtz travel agency family members our prebooked car arrived in time but way too small to fit 12 passengers and almost the same amount of luggage! Two hours later we where then fitted more or less comfortably in a minivan and we started the 7hours journey to paso de la patria, Corrientes, ready for more family, more friends and a beautiful incredible wedding!

We didn't yet figure out completely how to manage the pictures and data and text and other devices , so pictures will follow later or in separate blogs!
